Full Session – Pelvic Binders & Traction Devices (MOS Apr-21)

For convenience this page has opened in a new browser tab. The MOS module which linked to it remains open in another tab.

Below are the original full-length videos which formed part of the April 2021 MOS module.

Pelvic binders allow first responders to assist in the treatment of internal haemorrhaging caused by a pelvic injury. Although binders are the only treatment available to EURIECA™ practitioners for possible pelvic injuries, they are to be used in conjunction with safe patient handling, minimal movement and casualty rewarming techniques.

“But what if your casualty has a mid-shaft femur fracture?”, we hear you ask. The next video explains how to manage these types of patients with the traction splint.
